Blazing Question of the Day: Should kids get paid for good grades and good behavior?

I got kids and I want them to get something special for their good grades. Maybe it's better to give them a dinner out at their choice of restaurant, or send them and their friends to a movie... rather than cash. But it gets fuzzy when a cash reward is gonna get spent on that movie anyway, right?
i am a mother of five teens and never have I paid them for their grades. Every child learns differently and I give my expectations but if they don't make it they keep working. I tell them their job is to get good grades and go to college my job is to provide roof food and encouragement.... When does it end paying children to do what is expected of them that is the same with chores....that is your responsibility to be part of a family.
I think that money for good grades would be great but getting good grades has its own rewards that dont require you having money for it. Thanks im 19 teen from fredericksburg virginia!
